1.2 Download & Install the App
The RayNeo app is required to complete the setup and pairing process for your RayNeo iO AI Glasses. Before activating your glasses, please download and install the RayNeo app on your smartphone.

Before Installation
Please make sure:
- Your smartphone has access to the app store.
- Your phone is connected to the internet.
- Your device meets the required system compatibility. [Minimum supported iOS / Android versions should be added after confirmation from the app team.]
App Permissions
During setup, the RayNeo app may request permissions required for device connection and smart features. Please allow the required permissions and follow the instructions shown in the app.

1.3 First Activation
Activate Your RayNeo iO AI Glasses
Before using your RayNeo iO AI Glasses for the first time, complete the activation and pairing process by following the steps below.
Step 1: Activate Your Glasses
- Use the charging clip to connect the glasses to a power source.
- The device will be activated automatically.
Step 2: Prepare for Bluetooth Pairing
- Sign in to or register a RayNeo Account.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
- Open the RayNeo App and go to the Glasses tab.
- Tap Pair to start searching for nearby glasses.
When the glasses enter pairing mode, the temple tip indicator will show a blue breathing light.
Step 3: Complete Pairing in the App
- The RayNeo App will search for nearby glasses through Bluetooth.
- Select your RayNeo iO AI Glasses from the device list.
- Follow the in-app instructions to complete the pairing process.
Once pairing is complete, the glasses will connect to your phone automatically.
After First Pairing
After the first successful pairing:
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Keep the RayNeo App running.
- Simply unfold the temples to reconnect your glasses automatically.
You do not need to manually pair the glasses every time you use them.
Android Connection Settings
For Android users, please follow the in-app Allow Background Activity instructions. Allowing background activity helps keep the RayNeo App running in the background, maintaining a more stable Bluetooth connection and reducing connection interruptions when the screen is turned off or the app moves to the background.
Pair with a New Phone
To connect your glasses to a different phone:
- Unpair the glasses from the RayNeo App on the original phone.
- Put the glasses into pairing mode again.
- Open the RayNeo App on the new phone and complete Bluetooth pairing.
Connection Troubleshooting
If the glasses cannot connect:
- Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Turn Bluetooth off and on again.
- Restart the RayNeo App.
- Fold and unfold the temples to restart the connection process.
If the Indicator Shows a Charging Error
If the indicator lights red, which means a charging error:
- Check whether the charging clip is properly connected.
- Make sure the power source is working correctly.
- Reconnect the charging clip and try again.
1.4 Indicator
Understand the Indicator Light — the indicator light shows the current status of your RayNeo iO AI Glasses.

1.5 Charging
RayNeo iO AI Glasses support two charging methods:
- Charging with the Charging Clip
- Charging with the RayNeo iO Eyewear Charging Case (sold separately)
Choose the charging method that best fits your needs.
Method 1: Charge with the Charging Clip
The charging clip is the standard charging method for RayNeo iO AI Glasses.
How to Charge:
- Attach the charging clip in the correct orientation onto the glasses' nose bridge.
- Connect the charging clip to a power source.
- Check the temple-tip indicator light to confirm the charging status.

Method 2: Charge with the RayNeo iO Eyewear Charging Case
If you have purchased the RayNeo iO Eyewear Charging Case separately, you can charge your RayNeo iO AI Glasses by placing the glasses inside the charging case. The Eyewear Charging Case provides a more convenient charging solution when traveling or away from a power source.
How to Charge:
- Check the battery level of the charging case using the breathing light on the front of the case.
- Place the glasses into the charging case in the correct orientation.
- Charging will begin automatically.
During charging:
- Check the breathing light on the front of the charging case for charging status.
- The glasses' own indicator light will not turn on when charging through the case.

1.6 Check Battery Level
You can check the remaining battery level of both the glasses and the charging case in the RayNeo AI App.
2. Interaction & Controls
RayNeo iO AI Glasses provide intuitive controls through the Smart Crown, head movements, and App settings, allowing you to interact with information naturally without frequently using your phone.
2.1 Smart Crown
The Smart Crown is located on the upper front side of the right temple. It allows you to quickly navigate menus, select functions, and control your glasses.
Smart Crown Operations

| Rotate the Crown | Browse the Dashboard, App List, and various lists. Items are displayed one by one according to the order set in the App. |
| Single click | Select or open an item. When the display is off, a single click wakes up the Dashboard. |

Customize Smart Crown Controls
You can customize additional Smart Crown actions in:
Glasses tab → Settings → Crown Controls
You can assign frequently used features to:
- Double-click the Crown
- Screen-Off Press and Hold
2.2 HeadUp Display
HeadUp Display allows the glasses to automatically wake the display when you raise your head to a preset angle.
When enabled:
- Raising your head to the configured angle automatically turns on the display.
- The glasses enter the Dashboard automatically.
Adjust HeadUp Display Settings
You can customize the trigger angle in:
Glasses tab → Settings → HeadUp Display
Available settings:
- Adjustment range: 0°–60°
- Default angle: 30°
- One-tap reset supported
2.3 Head Controls
Head Controls allow you to interact with notifications and RayNeo Suggestions through simple head movements, without using your hands.
When a notification or RayNeo Suggestion appears:
- Nod your head to confirm.
- Shake your head to dismiss.
You can manage this feature in:
Glasses tab → Head Controls
2.4 Display Adjustment
You can adjust the display position to achieve a more comfortable viewing experience.
Adjust Display Position:
- Open the Glasses tab in the RayNeo App.
- Tap Adjust in the glasses preview area at the top.
- Enter the display adjustment page.
- Adjust:
- Display height
- Near/far effect
Customize the display position according to your viewing preference.
2.5 Focus Mode
Focus Mode helps reduce interruptions by muting selected proactive content.
When Focus Mode is enabled, the following content will be muted:
- Proactively pushed notifications
- RayNeo Suggestions
- Reminders
Manage Focus Mode
You can control Focus Mode through:
- RayNeo App
- App List on the glasses
You can also set a recurring schedule for Focus Mode.
3. Dashboard & App List
3.1 What is the Dashboard?
The Dashboard is the main interface for viewing information on RayNeo iO AI Glasses. It provides quick access to: Time, Weather, Battery level, Calendar, To-Do items, Stocks, Mail, World Clock.
The Dashboard helps you check important information without taking out your phone.
3.2 Wake Up the Dashboard
You can open the Dashboard in two ways:
HeadUp Display
Raise your head to the preset angle to automatically turn on the display and enter the Dashboard.
Smart Crown
When the display is off, single-click the Smart Crown to wake up the Dashboard.
3.3 Navigate the Dashboard and App List
Browse Dashboard Widgets
Rotate the Smart Crown to browse Dashboard widgets one by one. The widgets are displayed according to the order configured in the RayNeo App.
Press and hold the Smart Crown to return to the Dashboard home.
Open Apps
From the Dashboard:
- Single-click the Smart Crown to enter the App List.
- Rotate the Smart Crown to move the highlight.
- Find the desired app.
- Single-click to open.
3.4 Dashboard Widgets
The Dashboard supports up to 5 widgets. Available widgets include:

| To-Do | Displays your task information. When there are too many items, widgets are automatically added. |
| Calendar | Shows ongoing and upcoming events based on your connected calendar source, including all-day events. |
| Weather | Displays current weather, temperature, today's high and low temperatures, and the next 5-hour weather trend. |
| Stock | Shows stock prices and percentage changes for stocks you follow. |
| Displays the latest unread emails and total unread email count from your connected mailbox. | |
| World Clock | Shows local time, time zone, and time difference for a selected city. |
The Dashboard also displays basic information such as: Time, Local weather, Glasses battery level.
Manage Dashboard Widgets
Some widgets require initial setup before they can display information. For example:
- Authorize your calendar source
- Add stock tickers
- Select an email source
- Choose a city for Weather and World Clock
You can manage Dashboard widgets in:
Glasses tab → Dashboard Settings
From here you can: Add or remove widgets, Change widget order.
3.5 Dashboard Display Modes
The Dashboard supports two display modes:
Classic Mode
Classic Mode displays widget cards with detailed information.
Minimal Mode
Minimal Mode provides a cleaner view and only displays: Time, Weather, Battery level.
You can switch Dashboard display modes in the RayNeo App.
4. Core Features
4.1 Live Captions & Translation
RayNeo iO AI Glasses provide real-time speech recognition and translation features to help you communicate more easily in conversations, meetings, and multilingual scenarios.
Live Captions
What are Live Captions?
Live Captions converts speech into text in real time and displays the captions directly in your field of view. It helps you catch important information in situations such as:
- Noisy environments
- Conversations with strong accents
- Fast-paced conversations
With the built-in microphone array, the glasses can distinguish between the wearer's voice and other speakers. The captions prioritize the other person's speech and filter out your own voice, helping you focus on the information that matters most.
Live Captions supports two-way translation across 40 languages .
Start Live Captions
You can start Live Captions in two ways:
From the Glasses:
- Open the App List on the glasses.
- Select Live Captions .
From the RayNeo App:
- Open the RayNeo App.
- Go to the Glasses tab.
- Launch Live Captions .
Before starting: Select the language spoken by the other person. Make sure your phone has an available network connection. The glasses will recognize speech based on the selected language and display captions in real time.
Caption Display
Live Captions mainly displays the other person's speech and filters out your own voice. This allows you to focus on the information you need during a conversation.
Review Previous Captions
You can review previous captions during an active Live Captions session. To review:
- Rotate the Smart Crown to scroll through previous captions.
- Use the progress bar at the bottom to check your current position.
After a short pause, the display automatically returns to the ongoing conversation.
Save and Manage Caption Records
After a conversation ends, the complete transcript is saved in Sessions . From Sessions, you can:
- Review the transcript
- Generate a summary
- Share the conversation record
Real-Time Translation
Real-Time Translation is an extended feature within Live Captions that enables face-to-face bilingual conversations.
To start:
- Open Live Captions settings.
- Turn on Translation .
- Set both speakers' languages.
During translation:
- The other person's translated speech appears on the glasses.
- Your translated speech appears on the phone.
- Tap the play button on the phone to play the translated voice aloud.
During voice playback, audio pickup automatically pauses. After the conversation ends, original and translated text are saved side by side. Messages are displayed as conversation bubbles, each speaker labeled.
Live Calibration
Live Calibration controls how translated text appears during real-time translation. You can adjust this setting based on your preference for speed or stability.
When Live Calibration is On: Translation updates word by word as the person speaks. Text appears faster, but the displayed text may shift during the conversation.
When Live Calibration is Off: Translation appears after the complete sentence is recognized. Text display is more stable.
4.2 Voice Memo & AI Summary
RayNeo iO AI Glasses allow you to quickly record conversations and generate AI-powered summaries without holding your phone or using additional recording devices. With Voice Memo, you can capture conversations, convert speech into text, and generate structured summaries including key points and action items.
Start Voice Memo
You can start recording in multiple ways:
- From the Glasses: Open the App List on the glasses, select Voice Memo .
- From the RayNeo App: Open the RayNeo App, go to the Glasses tab, tap the recording button.
- Shortcut Gesture: Bind Start Recording to a shortcut gesture for quick access.
- Voice Activation: Use voice commands: "Hey RayNeo" or "OK RayNeo" to start recording.
Recording Modes
Voice Memo supports two pickup modes:
- Wide Spectrum (Default): Captures voices around you evenly. Recommended for: Meetings, Lectures, Multi-person conversations.
- Voice Isolation: Focuses on the voice directly in front of you while reducing background noise. Recommended for: Interviews, One-on-one conversations.
Mark Important Moments During Recording
You can mark important moments while recording. Ways to add a flag:
- Single-click the Smart Crown on the glasses.
- Tap the Flag button in the recording control page of the RayNeo App.
Notes:
- Repeated taps within a short period will not create duplicate flags.
- You can also add text notes in the App. Notes will be linked to the corresponding moment.
- When generating an AI summary, content around flagged moments receives additional attention.
Stop Recording
You can stop recording in three ways:
- Press and hold the Smart Crown on the glasses to exit the Voice Memo app.
- Tap End Recording in the RayNeo App.
- Fold the temples.
The recording is saved automatically after recording ends.
Transcription and AI Summary
After recording, the transcript is generated in Sessions . Voice Memo supports:
- Recognition of 100+ languages
- Automatic distinction between your voice and other speakers
With Speaker Recognition enabled, the system can separate different speakers and rename them. After transcription is complete, AI automatically generates a structured summary including: Key conclusions, To-do items. You can also use templates to generate summaries from different perspectives.
Review and Manage Sessions
Saved recordings and generated content can be accessed in Sessions . You can:
- Review transcripts
- View AI summaries
- Generate new summaries using templates
Language Support: Voice Memo transcription supports 100+ languages.
4.3 Teleprompter
RayNeo iO AI Glasses provide a hands-free Teleprompter experience by displaying your script directly on the near-eye display. You can read your script while maintaining eye contact with your audience, without needing to look down at notes or use additional devices.
It supports adjustment of: Display distance, Screen size, Display height, Text size, Text width, Line spacing, Display depth.
Teleprompter Modes
RayNeo iO supports three teleprompting modes:
- Smart Follow: Automatically follows your reading pace and advances pages as you speak.
- Auto Scroll: Automatically scrolls the script at a selected speed.
- Manual Control: Allows manual scrolling control.
Teleprompter Presets
The Teleprompter provides preset scenarios: Video, Voiceover, Speech, Default.
Manage Scripts
You can create and manage scripts in the RayNeo AI App.
Create a New Script:
- Open the Teleprompter home page.
- Tap the plus icon.
- Select New Script .
- Enter the title and content.
Import Scripts: You can import scripts from system files. Supported formats: TXT, DOC, DOCX, PDF. After importing, formatting is removed, images are filtered, and only text content is retained.
Script Management: Scripts are organized by: Pinned, Recent. Scripts are sorted by update time. Available actions: Swipe left to delete, Swipe right to pin, Tap a script card to preview.
Start and Control Teleprompter
You can start Teleprompter in two ways:
- From the App: Open script preview, tap Play on Glasses .
- From the Glasses: Open Teleprompter using the Smart Crown or voice command, select a script.
After opening on glasses:
- Keep the glasses still.
- Single-click the Smart Crown.
- Wait for the countdown.
- Teleprompter starts.
During use:
- Single-click the Smart Crown to play/pause.
- Rotate the Smart Crown to control scrolling.
- Control from the phone is synchronized in real time.
4.4 Voice Assistant & RayNeo AI
RayNeo iO AI Glasses provide voice-based AI interaction, allowing you to control features, ask questions, and access your personal records through natural conversations.
Activate RayNeo AI
You can wake up RayNeo AI in two ways:
- Voice Wake-up: Say "Hey RayNeo" or "OK RayNeo".
- Smart Crown Shortcut: Use the configured shortcut gesture. The default shortcut gesture is: Double-click the Smart Crown .
RayNeo AI Capabilities
RayNeo AI supports three types of interactions:
Device Control
You can use voice commands to control features such as:
- Adjust brightness
- Turn Focus Mode on or off
- Start Voice Memo
- Start Live Captions
- Open Teleprompter
- Start Life Log
Information Queries
Ask RayNeo AI for information such as: Weather, Holidays, News, General knowledge questions.
Personal Record Queries
RayNeo AI can search your personal database to answer questions based on your saved records. Supported sources include: Voice Memo, Live Captions, Other saved records.
Example: "What were my action items from last week's meeting?"
Personal Database & RayNeo AI App Conversation
You can interact with RayNeo AI through the RayNeo AI App. You can start a conversation from: RayNeo AI page, Sessions page. You can type or speak your question.
Search Your Records: RayNeo AI can answer questions based on your personal database. You can customize the search scope using data type tags, such as: Voice Memo, Topics, Life Log. You can add or remove tags based on your needs. You can also save an AI-generated answer as a new summary tab with one tap.
4.5 AI Models & Membership
RayNeo iO AI Glasses support flexible AI model options, allowing you to choose the AI experience that best fits your needs.
AI Model Selection: Users can choose from: RayNeo AI, Multiple mainstream AI models.
AI services including: On-glasses RayNeo AI Assistant, AI summaries, and other AI-powered features can use your preferred AI model.
Subscribing to membership unlocks additional advanced AI models.
5. Lenses & Care
Proper care helps maintain the appearance, comfort, and optical performance of your RayNeo iO AI Glasses.
5.1 Prescription Lenses
RayNeo iO AI Glasses support prescription lenses.
5.2 Storage Tips
To protect the lenses and frame:
- Place the glasses with the convex side of the lenses facing upward to avoid scratches.
- Store the glasses in a hard case when not in use.
- Avoid placing the glasses near heat sources such as radiators or stoves.
- Do not wear the glasses while showering or in a sauna. High temperatures may deform the glasses and affect optical performance.
5.3 Daily Cleaning
For daily maintenance:
- Clean the lenses with a soft lens cloth.
- Do not use rough or hard-surfaced materials.
- If the lens cloth becomes greasy, wash it with dish soap before reuse.
5.4 Coated Lens Care
Coated lenses provide a clearer and more transparent viewing experience but may show fingerprints and dirt more easily.
To protect the coating, avoid contact with:
- Organic solvents
- Sweat residue
- Alkaline substances
- Hard objects
If dust, sand particles, or heavy oil stains are present:
- Wash the lenses with soapy water.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Gently wipe with a dedicated lens cloth or tissue.
5.5 Metal Frame Care
Keep metal parts clean and avoid contact with chemical substances such as acids and alkalis.
Sweat, cosmetics, and hairspray may cause:
- Metal surface corrosion
- Frame discoloration
- Lens coating damage
If these substances come into contact with the glasses, wipe them clean immediately with a dedicated lens cloth or tissue.
6. Privacy & Data
RayNeo iO AI Glasses are designed with privacy indicators and user controls to help you manage your data.
6.1 Recording Indicator
When Voice Memo or microphone-related features are active, a white indicator light appears at the temple tip.
6.2 Life Log Data Storage
Life Log does not store original audio recordings. It only keeps:
- Text records generated from conversations
Original audio is not retained.
6.3 Manage Personal Profile Tags
You can manage your personal profile tags in About You .
All long-term profile tags can be:
- Manually deleted
- Corrected by you
You remain in control of your personal profile information.
7. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions for common issues with RayNeo iO AI Glasses.
7.1 Display Issues
Screen is incomplete, blurry, or drifting
If the display appears incomplete, blurry, or shifted:
- Open the Glasses tab in the RayNeo App.
- Tap Adjust in the glasses preview area.
- Adjust:
- Display height using the right-side slider.
- Near/far effect using the bottom slider.
Adjust the display settings until the image is comfortable to view.
7.2 Connection Issues
Bluetooth connection problems or frequent disconnects
Try the following:
- Turn your phone Bluetooth off and on again.
- Restart the RayNeo App.
- Fold and unfold the temples to restart the connection/reconnection process.
Android Users: Follow the in-app Allow Background Activity instructions to keep the RayNeo App running in the background. This helps maintain Bluetooth stability and reduces disconnections when: The phone screen is turned off, The App moves to the background.
7.3 Switching Phones
Cannot connect after switching phones
When connecting the glasses to a new phone:
- Open the RayNeo App on the original phone.
- Unpair the glasses.
- Enter pairing mode again.
- Complete pairing on the new phone.
